A Streetcar Named Desire depicts a culture clash between Blanche DuBoisand her sister Stella's husband Stanley Kowalski. Stella fears Blanche will upset her relationship with her husband, a primal, brutish and sensual force of nature. Their final, inevitable confrontation results in Blanche's mental annihilation.
