Spiritual prequel to R.I.P.D (2013). In Americas Wild West, Sheriff Roy Pulsipher (Jeffrey Donovan) is shot and killed trying to bring in a gang of outlaws, but finds himself offered the chance to come back from the dead as a member of the R.I.P.D (Rest In Peace Department), an afterlife organisation dedicated to hunting down vagrant souls. Pulsipher sees this appointment as a chance to bring justice to the outlaws responsible for his death, but when a gateway to hell opens up he suddenly has much bigger problems to solve.
