A legendary studio orchestra that supported the golden age of Philly soul, its name is derived from the initials of "Mother Father Sister Brother." Gamble & Huff promoted them as a recording and live act, and their first four albums were released in 1973, 1975, and 1976.
All four albums made it into the US Top 200, and 'TSOP' and 'Universal Love' reached number 1 and number 2 on the R&B Albums chart.
The single "TSOP" became a massive hit, reaching number one in the US.
