Grainne Duffy’s highly anticipated new album, What Am I Supposed To Do,
arrives May 22nd, marking an exciting new chapter in her ever-evolving sound.
Gráinne is a guitarist, singer, and songwriter from Monaghan, Ireland, known for her
distinctive blend of roots, soul, blues, and rock, infused with subtle Celtic influences.
A powerful and expressive artist, she has carved out a unique voice that honors
tradition while pushing it forward.
A three-time Blues Matters Writers’ Poll winner (Best Female Vocalist, 2014 & 2015;
Best Solo Artist, 2015), Duffy was also named Best Modern Roots Artist at the 2021
Independent Blues Awards. An accomplished international touring artist, she has
performed at major festivals including Glastonbury, Tremblant International Blues
Festival, Mahindra Blues Festival, and Notodden Blues Festival, as well as appearing
on BBC sessions and television broadcasts.
Duffy launched her career with her debut album Out Of The Dark in 2007. She
followed with Test Of Time (2011), produced by Niko Bolas (Melissa Etheridge, Los
Lobos), and Where I Belong (2017), produced by Justin Stanley (Eric Clapton, Sheryl
Crow), whose title track reached #1 on the DittyTV chart. Her fourth studio album,
Voodoo Blues (2020), achieved chart success across the U.S. (RMR), UK (IBBA), and
France (Collectif des Radios Blues Power)
