Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn created the entirety of The Fall on his Apple iPad, whilst on an American tour with the band supporting 2010s Plastic Beach album. The record features guest appearances from former Clash band mates Mick Jones and Paul Simonon, as well as soul legend Bobby Womack, who also co-wrote a song. The albums final mix was completed by Stephen Sedgwick back in Britain, and The Fall is preceded by the single Revolving Doors.
