In a scene that has been recently plagued by
make-up and darkness, Descendents put some
fun back in punk with a dose of bathroom humour,
songs of love and life, catchy hooks, a caffeinated
rhythm section and, of course, the mighty Milo on
vocals.
Released in 2004, ‘Cool to Be You’ showed that
you could grow up, get a ‘real’ job and still play
faster and louder than kids half your age. The
album solidified their legacy as the band that put
the ‘pop’ in punk without losing the ‘punk’ edge.
